Pearl Gabrielle Family Friends Twinless Twins

I first became aware of the Twinless Twins organization when I saw a special segment about it on Unsolved Mysteries. Rhiannon and I watched it together when we were about 12 and I can remember feeling very sorry for all of them. This was the only time Rhiannon and I ever discussed what would happen if one of us died before the other the one. I specifically told her that I did not want her to appear to me as a spirit because that would scare me, but I told her coming to me in dreams would be ok. Dr. Raymond Brandt founded the Twinless Twin group and wrote a book called, Twin Loss. I wish I could have had the chance to meet him. I've been told that he never turned a twinless twin away and was always willing to help you out. I haven't been to a convention yet, but the couple of regional meetings I have went to have helped me. By sharing our twins with other twinless, I feel like we are able to preserve their memories and help each other cope with the grieving process. On June 17, 2006, I hosted a twinless twin meeting in our apartment. Sandy, Jim, and Joan came and it was very nice to meet them. We shared our stories and shared memories of our twins. The meeting was so successful that Sandy plans to host another meeting at her house sometime. The connection between other twinless twins is very important to me because I know that they can understand where I'm coming from and we can help each other cope with the loss.
